Goel, S., Peters, N., and Ritchie, F. (2025) ‘Fit to Float: Conservation of a Painted Canvas and Birch Bark Canoe’, American Institute of Conservation Annual Meeting. Minneapolis, MN. May 30, 2025.

Presented the treatment of a birchbark and canvas canoe from Isle Royale National Park. This included the use of techniques borrowed from other conservation disciplines in order to create a cohesive object. Discussed the nuances of onsite work for the National Parks Service and collaboration with communities.
